Summer reading is coming!

Posted by Kristi on April 28, 2010

Hey guys, just a reminder that the Normal Public Library Teen Summer Reading program is going to be starting up again soon.  Our official start date is May 26, and it will run until August 9.  This year’s theme is Scare Up a Good Book, so keep your eyes peeled for some great supernatural and horror reading suggestions in this space if you want to stick with the theme.  Of course, you can read anything you want to qualify for the program, including newspapers, magazines, and even blogs.  You can also listen to audio books.  All you’ll have to do is keep track of your reading hours for a chance to win some great prizes, including a netbook computer and an iPod Nano!

In addition to the reading program, we’ve got a lot of fun activities and events planned for this summer, from crafting to movie showings to writing workshops to video gaming.  I’ll be posting more details here in the very near future, so don’t forget to come back to check out what’s going on.  I’ll also be posting flyers at the library and all over town, so there’s no excuse for missing out!
